The French Verb Wall —Le Mur des Verbes

The French Verb Wall is similar to the Spanish Verb Wall in many ways. The pronoun visuals look the same with these differences:

  • The singular formal YOU (VOUS) which must be ORANGE for the Spanish VW is now purple, as are all of the plural VOUS visuals.
  • All of the pronoun cases are color-coded to match the visual.  Thus, these are all RED: je, j’, me, m’, moi, mon/ma/mes, le mien/les miens/la mienne/les miennes

All pronouns are color-coded to match their visuals. Then verb endings for present, imperfect, future and conditional are also color-coded to match the subjects. The fonts for each tense vary to illustrate the meaning, just as in the Spanish system.  Future and conditional are lighter because they have not happened. The structure of the passé composé is also handled visually.

There are many extra signs that have to do with French, but are not necessarily part of the pronoun-verb system. For example:  contractions au, aux, du, des--Days of the Week--types of accents, etc.

The three teachers who kept pressuring me to do this were very pleased with the outcome.

It was very hard for me because I do not know French.
